Ernesto Valverde Refuses to Rule Out Barcelona Return for Chelsea Winger Pedro

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has refused to rule out a move for Pedro Rodriguez from Chelsea

The former Barcelona star has been vocal about returning to the club, claiming that he would love to move back to the Camp Nou somewhere down the line. The Spaniard shares a great history with the Catalan giants as he has won every possible trophy with them.

He was among their most important players as he gave them a goal-scoring threat from the wings – he scored 99 times for the Blaugrana – while also being a superb option from the bench.

Valverde acknowledged the winger’s glorious past with Barcelona, saying, as per AS, “Pedro is one of Barça’s historic players, we cannot deny that. He’s one of the players to have won the most trophies at the club. We’ll see how it all unfolds. He’s well thought of by the fans.”

Speaking about security for the Clasico, Valverde wasn’t too keen to discuss the subject, as he wanted more focus on the match against La Real later tonight.

“We’ll see. We’ll be dealing with that from Sunday. Right now, we are only thinking about tomorrow’s game.

“I know that El Clásico makes the headlines and involves a lot of news and information but we don’t want to be distracted because the three points in play tomorrow against Real Sociedad are the same as the three points we need to get against Madrid.

“I know that it’s an unusual situation because the game was rescheduled but we’ll talk more about it when the time comes,” concluded the Spaniard.
