The current campaign stretches into 2020, with the duo picking almost similar names in their XI with the major difference coming in the attacking forward positions. They named the exact same five in defence, with Manchester United’s David de Gea in goal while the four of Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, Virgil van Dijk and Cesar Azpilicueta were chosen in front of him.
Manchester City legends, David Silva and Yaya Toure were unsurprisingly picked by both but the third midfield position was where they differed with Carragher opting for N’Golo Kante while Neville bizarrely picked another attacking midfielder in Eden Hazard.
Sergio Aguero was the unanimous choice up front, however Carragher picked Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard to partner him while Neville went with current Tottenham striker, Harry Kane and former Liverpool man, Luis Suarez up front.
