Match Recap: Chelsea 1 Manchester United 2

Marcus Rashford steps into the shoes of Ronaldo as he fires Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup with two goals from set-pieces. A penalty in the 25th minute and a stunning 30-yards free-kick 17 minutes from stoppage time.

The visitors were very composed throughout the duration of the match, deploying a 5-2-21 formation. Ole did not take chances, the lineup seems strong except 19y/old Williams who gave a very strong performance.

Booked McTominay 11, Fred 83.

For Chelsea, we had three academy graduates on parade. Marc Guehi, Reece James and the promising Billy Gilmour all started.

From our own angle the best moment of the game came in the 61th min when Batshuayi’s solo effort earned us an equaliser which kept us in the game for 12 more mins before Rashford sensational free-kick put us behind again with 17 mins left on the clock.
