Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante is ready for a new challenge in his career and is all set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season with El Desmarque reporting that the Frenchman is looking for a move to Spain.
Spanish giants, Barcelona are understood to be big admirers of the midfielder and would like to bring him to the Nou Camp, but as per the report the player himself has his heart set on a move to their rivals, Real Madrid.
Kante is said to enjoy a close relationship with French legend and Los Blancos manager, Zinedine Zidane, with him even requesting the club management to sign the 28-year-old. However, Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly denied the request as they would have to pay around €100million for a position already occupied by Casemiro.
Perez for his part see’s Casemiro as the best defensive midfielder in the world and does not want to sign any player who would be seen as a direct threat to the Brazilian. This news would delight the Catalan giants who could use the presence of their strong French contingent to influence Kante’s decision.
The 28-year-old is considered to be the best defensive midfielder in the world by many and is a key member of the Blues side ever since he moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City in 2016.
