Chelsea scout Piet de Visser, who is one of the trusted advisors of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly told him not to sell at all costs.
It is believed that the Dutch scout played a vital role when Kevin De Bruyne joined Chelsea and was massively disappointed by the then Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s decision to sell him in 2014.
De Visser is believed to have personally requested Mourinho to keep De Bruyne at Stamford Bridge. Despite his pleas, the midfielder was sold to Wolfsburg for £18 million.
When Mason Mount was at Vitesse Arnhem in the 2017-18 campaign, de Visser reportedly alerted Chelsea owner about his growth and made sure that Chelsea doesn’t repeat the same mistake that we did with De Bruyne.
Mason Mount has been absolutely electrifying under Frank Lampard this season at Chelsea and last season at Derby County.
The 20-year-old has already scored four goals and registered two assists in 14 appearances this term. De Visser, meanwhile, attended Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Ajax in Amsterdam last week.
